We are dedicated to playing an active role in supporting charitable and non-profit organizations and activities that enrich the families and communities in which we operate. It’s all about moving forward, building stronger, healthier communities and making a positive difference in the quality of life where we live, work, and play.

EastLink supports community events, activities and organizations by providing valuable resources to the sponsored event. EastLink also engages in Community Awareness and Relationship Building projects non-profit and charitable organizations.

EastLink TV plays a major role in our support activities through such programs as: EastLink Magazine, Podium TV, and live broadcasts of events such as Telethons/Fundraisers.

	Atlantic Canada Electronics Stewardship program (ACES) EastLink is proud to be a member of the Atlantic Canada Electronics Stewardship program (ACES). ACES is a not-for-profit association registered in Nova Scotia committed to collecting and recycling electronic waste in an environmentally responsible manner. In early 2008, an environmental handling fee for consumer electronics was implemented across Nova Scotia. Managed by the Resource Recovery Fund Board, the fee funds a program to ensure end-of-life electronics do not end up in our land-fills. 	Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation EastLink works with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation annually on the QEH/EastLink Telethon. Since 1996, EastLink has helped raise over $4.5 million in funds for the hospital. EastLink remains committed to broadcasting and supporting the QEH Foundation as it works to raise monies to purchase new medical equipment for Prince Edward Island. 	Habitat for Humanity EastLink employees participate in Habitat for Humanity by helping to build safe and affordable homes for Families. EastLink employees participate in various stages of the construction from building walls, and installing windows to insulating and hanging drywall. 	Nova Scotia Heartland Tour EastLink is proud to be a sponsor of the Nova Scotia Heartland Tour by Bicycle. 	Halifax Rainmen Summer Camps As an ongoing sponsor of the Halifax Rainmen, EastLink was happy to fund the Summer Basketball camps. 	Walk & Run for Diabetes As a media partner for the 1st Annual Walk & Run for Diabetes in Dartmouth, EastLink has helped educate the importance of Physical activity in preventing diabetes, as well as an important tool in diabetes management for more than 87,000 Nova Scotians living with this disease. 	The Bridgeway Academy The Bridgeway Academy is a non-profit day school, with campuses in Halifax and Truro, designed for students with moderate to severe learning disabilities. EastLink is proud to support their 1st annual Dancing with our Stars event which money raised will be used for bursaries and assessment support for Nova Scotia youth struggling with learning disabilities.
