Note: When you change your e-mail password, Netscape 4.7 will prompt you for the new password when you check for new mail. The following steps will guide you to ensuring that you have entered the right username for your e-mail account.

Click the "Edit" menu. Click the "Preferences." option (Show me)
On the left hand side, under "Mail & Groups", select "Mail Servers" (Show me)
Click on the "Edit." button. (Show me)
Be sure that "Mail server user name" is the first part of your e-mail address, everything before the "@".
Click "OK".
