Dr. John Gillis is an emergency room physician and health care / political activist in Halifax. Dr. Gillis has many
accomplishments under his belt. Most recently, Dr. Gillis was approached to attend a conference with U.S. President Bush and the First Lady after a White House representative watched the “Doc Talk” episode about Bandage International’s work in Belize, a program of which Dr. Gillis is the Medical Director.
Something about Dr. Gillis that people may not be aware of is that he is an avid rugby player, and team member of the Nova Scotia Champion Halifax TARS!
