Matt Beardsley speaks with Zubair Siddiqi and Lannie Pan MacAleer about the challenges and rewrds of immigrating to P.E.I.

Island View is a live half-hour interview program hosted by Matt Beardsley, every Tuesday on Eastlink TV at 7pm.

The show will highlight the people, places and events that make up the fabric of Prince Edward Island.

Each week, Matt will sit down a special guest for an in depth conversation.

PEI is becoming an increasingly dynamic province, full of engaging personalities and exciting events; and "Island View" looks to shine the spotlight on them a little brighter.

A native of Sherwood, Prince Edward Island, Matt pursued his life long dream of working in Television by enrolling in the Atlantic Media Institute in the fall of 2002. It was during his time at AMI that he began his association with Eastlink TV, first as a volunteer behind the scenes and than later as a host and an analyst on sports broadcasts.

Matt officially joined the Eastlink TV team in the fall of 2004 as an Assistant Producer in Amherst. In the Spring of 2005 he returned home to PEI to produce sports stories for Eastlink Magazine PEI and provide color commentary on PEI Rocket home games.

Matt has hosted Eastlink TV's coverage of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and AUS Saturdays broadcasts. To date he has hosted over 300 live events, and produced over 400 feature length stories. Matt is excited about hosting his own show and getting the opportunity to speak to the people who make up the fabric of Prince Edward Island.
