Eastlink continues to actively invest in and execute the Province of Nova Scotia’s Rural Broadband Initiative across the eight counties we have been contracted to serve. While we continue to complete installs on a regular basis, only the most difficult installs remain.

Connections in the difficult to reach pockets have not yet been made due to geographic challenges, such as elevation and technology issues that make it difficult to establish a signal due to distance or a blockage like a mountain or valley.

Eastlink continues to work cooperatively with government investigating a variety of alternate solutions for potential customers who live in the hard-to-serve pockets.
