Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) announces Eastlink as the official and exclusive broadcaster of Nova Scotia School sports: Live and On Demand

Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) announces Eastlink as the official and exclusive broadcaster of Nova Scotia School sports: Live and On Demand

Halifax, NS – The Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) announced today at its 18th Annual Celebration Luncheon that it has chosen Eastlink as its “Exclusive Presenting Partner” in a 3-year broadcast deal.

Starting this fall, Eastlink customers across Nova Scotia can enjoy up to 50 Provincial Championships along with select regular season games on any screen in the home including Eastlink Channel 10/HD 610, live streamed on their tablet and smartphone via Maestro Streamer, and on the go via Eastlink To Go.

“To say we are excited about this partnership is an understatement," said Lee Bragg, CEO Eastlink. "We have a longstanding and passionate commitment to showcasing local sports, which makes this partnership such a natural fit. Parents, neighbours, friends, relatives from near and far now have access to all the fun and excitement of both male and female sports including football, track and field, rugby, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, snowboarding, even table tennis among others.

Eastlink and the NSSAF say this new relationship will help further elevate the importance of Junior/Senior High School athletics in Nova Scotia, providing additional support to student athletes, their teams and their schools.

“The NSSAF is excited to finalize a long-term presenting partnership with Eastlink. The values of this proud Nova Scotia company are a perfect match with those of the NSSAF,” said Darrell Dempster NSSAF Executive Director.

Mr. Dempster added, "The NSSAF looks forward to working closely with Eastlink in growing the community-based profile of our over 29,000 Student Athletes, 4000 Coaches and Sport Administrators from our 183 Member Schools.”

As the leading provider of sports in the Maritimes, Eastlink delivers professional quality HD production and coverage as well as live streaming of sports leagues and organizations including: Q league hockey (Halifax Mooseheads, Charlottetown Islanders and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles), the NS Major Midget Hockey League, Maritime Hockey League, the Central Western Senior Hockey League in NL, Halifax Rainmen and Island Storm Basketball, Basketball Nova Scotia, High School Sports, Skate Canada Provincials, Premiership Soccer, SandJam Volleyball and the CIS National Hockey Championship, which we will televise once again next year, among others.
