Northwood Broadcasting Club (NWBC) is supporting Eastlink’s sponsorship of the 25th Anniversary of the Atlantic Film Festival by devoting its entire musical line-up during the 10-day Festival to classic movies and soundtracks.
NWBC airs on Eastlink Television (Channel 10 in the Halifax Regional Municipality) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, seven days a week. NWBC hosts will provide exclusive commentary on the Festival and broadcast music from classic movies of the past.
“This project is a great opportunity for us to reminisce with our listeners over classic music and movie soundtracks from the past,” says Ray Hill, President of NWBC.
As partner sponsor of the Festival, Eastlink is the official communication provider and Eastlink Television will broadcast exclusive programming and live coverage of the Festival that will include Eastlink All Access, a daily one-hour look behind the scenes of the Festival that will air daily at 6:30 p.m. throughout the 10-day event.
“We are thrilled Northwood offered to broadcast movie-themed programming during the 10 days of the Festival,” says Michael Smith, Director of Eastlink Television. “Relationships like the one we have with NWBC will help us bring the excitement of the Atlantic Film Festival to Maritimers of all ages.”
NWBC is run by a dedicated group of seniors who volunteer their time and talents to provide their listeners in the Atlantic region with music and entertainment each day. Eastlink Television has provided airtime to the Club for 16 years.
