Halifax, NS – Eastlink TV is gearing up for a brand new season of local sports action and excitement and this time it’s available in brilliant HD exclusively on Eastlink’s channel 610.
“Eastlink TV is very excited about the upcoming season,” says Michael Smith, vice president of Eastlink TV. “With the addition of our new HD Mobile Production Vehicle, and the launch of our HD Channel 610, the quality of our local sports coverage has reached a new level of excellence. The HD quality is unbelievable; you simply have to see it to appreciate it.”
Eastlink TV kicks off a new sports season on Sept. 1 with Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Saturdays, featuring an AUS Football pre-season game between St. FX and Acadia.
Smith says, “After Acadia’s Conference winning season last year, everyone is eager to see if this year’s team can repeat last year’s success.”
On Sept. 21, the puck will drop on QMJHL Friday Night Hockey on Eastlink TV with an exciting Nova Scotia battle as last year’s conference finalist, the Halifax Mooseheads, visit the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the first televised game of the season.
Smith affirms that Eastlink TV’s investment to provide local programming in HD illustrates the strength of the company’s commitment to the local community and its customers.
