Eastlink gives back to the community with a $7500 donation to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation (QEHF)

Charlottetown, Price Edward Island - Eastlink, a Platinum Level Sponsor of the QEH Hospital Foundation ($2 million +), continued to show ongoing support for the Foundation with an on-air donation during the 11th annual QEH Eastlink 21-hour Equipment Drive.

Bruce MacLean, co-Station Manager of Eastlink Television in Stratford presented a cheque for $7,500 to the QEH Foundation. Funds raised from this year’s telethon will be used to support the intensive/critical care units and the cardio-respiratory department.

"Eastlink is committed to fostering partnerships that will result in stronger communities," said Dan McKeen, co-CEO, Eastlink. "Eastlink has been a proud supporter of the 21-Hour Equipment Drive for the last 10 years, and we recognize how important this fundraiser is to Islanders. To help ensure the hospital meets its goal, Eastlink is proud to present it with a cheque for $7,500." Eastlink employees and volunteers play an important role in the success of each year's telethon. Last year volunteers helped raise more than $478,014 for the QEH Foundation.

The Eastlink 21-Hour Equipment Drive, hosted by Marlene MacDonald and Vern Murphy, was held yesterday, Saturday, May 26 from Noon until Midnight, and today, May 27, from 9AM until 6PM.
