In Your Community

For over 35 years, EastLink has been committed to empowering customers and communities through innovative telecommunications and entertainment services. We are dedicated to playing an active role in supporting charitable and non-profit organizations and activities that enrich the families and communities in which we operate. It’s all about moving forward, building stronger, healthier communities and making a positive difference in the quality of life where we live, work, and play.

Sponsorships are events, activities, and organizations that EastLink supports by providing valuable resources to the sponsored event. EastLink also engages in Community Awareness and Relationship Building projects with many non-profit and charitable organizations and corporate initiatives.

EastLink supports events primarily through EastLink Television through such programs as: EastLink Magazine, Podium TV, and live broadcasts of events such as Telethons/Fundraisers. Support can also be made through financial or in-kind resources.

As we receive a large number of sponsorship requests, EastLink places a priority on the following categories when choosing which projects to support:

  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Family-focused events

Some of the recent Sponsorships and Community Awareness initiatives that EastLink has supported include:

Big Bike for Stroke
EastLink employees participate in The Big Bike for Heart and Stroke.  Big Bike is one of the Heart and Stroke Foundation's most FUN-raising fundraising events. Causing a commotion wherever it goes, the event is named after the BIG 30-seat BIKE. Teams made up of 29 enthusiastic riders (and one driver provided by the Foundation) pedal through their community in support of heart disease and stroke research. http://www.bigbike.ca .

Habitat for Humanity
