Morgan Jessome shows just how exciting life at Eastlink Community TV can be
Acclaimed producer, host and author, Morgan Jessome is the driving force behind some of Eastlink Community TV's most popular shows. You may recognize her as the host of shows like Black Films That Teach or maybe you’ll catch her behind the scenes at Mooseheads hockey games. Either way, Morgan has been a staple on the Eastlink Community TV team for the last five years, and she’s not slowing down anytime soon.
Morgan started at the Eastlink Community TV studios as a volunteer while attending NSCC for Television Broadcasting. She learned the ropes of both on-camera and behind-the-scenes production and says she discovered a natural aptitude for the work and soon found herself in front of the camera.
She says one of the best parts of working at Eastlink Community TV is the team. A lot of her colleagues have grown into their roles together, and they’ve been tightknit since their days together at college. This sense of community is an important part of working at Eastlink and it’s one of the things Morgan loves about working here.
During her time at Eastlink, Morgan has achieved some major career highlights, like hosting the No. 2 Construction Battalion National Apology broadcast in July. This national event was a momentous occasion for Canada, and Morgan played an important role as the host alongside Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
When she's not busy with Eastlink, Morgan is also working on her first published novel, titled, "The Real Me and The Real You”, which will hit bookshelves this winter.
Eastlink is fortunate to have Morgan Jessome on the team, and we’re excited to see how she continues to grow.
