Eastlink supports services including T9-1-1, IP Relay and accessibility Data to provide accessibility functionality now supported in applications available on Smartphones.

Directory Assistance is exempt from charges for calls to 411 for Eastlink Mobile customers who self-identify as having accessibility needs. Eastlink IP Relay is a relay service for deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired persons with Eastlink local phone or mobile service. The service allows individuals to place and receive text-based relay calls from their personal computer and/or data-enabled mobile device.

Eastlink Mobile customers who self-identify accessibility needs qualify for 1 GB of accessibility Data added to any Data Plus plan. Please contact us at 1-888-345-1111, dial *611 on your mobile phone, or use Live Chat at the tab on the right side of every page on our website to speak to an Eastlink representative about the 1 GB of accessibility Data being added to a Data Plus plan. In addition, Eastlink Mobile customers who self-identify as having accessibility needs are eligible for an extended trial period of 30 days when purchasing mobile service for the first time with Eastlink. The extended trial period allows for use of your full amount of minutes, unlimited text and Data included in your plan.
Text with 9-1-1 (T9-1-1) is a new service for deaf, hard of hearing, and speech impaired (DHHSI) persons who preregister with Eastlink. Eligible customers must register with Eastlink before you can use the T9-1-1 service.
T9-1-1 is only available in areas where the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points have stated they are able to support the service. Click here for a current list of towns and provinces where T9-1-1 service is available. Please check the list before you travel and to stay current on whether T9-1-1 is available in your community.
T9-1-1 is also only available on certain devices. Eastlink’s T9-1-1 service is available only on the devices below when purchased from Eastlink:
