Preparing to be back in your homes and a special gift of music
June 12, 2020
I know how much you have been counting on our services more than ever over these last three months to keep you in touch with what’s important to you. I am so proud of our entire team who has been completely committed and working tirelessly to keep you connected with safety as our top priority. Although I’ve said this before, I feel it deserves repeating that we have been truly appreciative of your ongoing support and willingness to work differently with us.
As provinces reopen with a cautious approach, our technicians will soon resume in-home visits for service and installation appointments. We’ve worked hard to put all necessary precautions and measures in place to keep you and our technicians safe so I thought I would share what you can expect to see when you have an appointment with one of our technicians.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• All of our technicians will wear gloves, a face mask and eye protection. We encourage you to also wear a face mask while our technician is in your home as added protection.
• Our vehicles are equipped with handwashing stations so that our team can wash hands before entering your home.
Screening
• Your appointment will begin with a quick screening outside the home. Our technician will ask you to answer a few questions, similar to the questions you answered when booking your appointment. We want to make sure nothing has changed.
Physical Distancing
• Our technicians will practice physical distancing at all times while visiting your home. We ask for your help to provide 2 metres (6 feet) of distance while our team is at work, which will help protect you and our technicians.
It’s been a difficult few months being separated from friends and family, especially for our seniors. I have heard from many of you how trying this period of isolation has been so our team wanted to do something special for you and thought that a gift of music would be one small way to offer comfort and support. On Sunday, tune in to Eastlink Community TV (Channel 610) at 7 pm to see Heartstrings featuring a collection of personal and heartfelt performances from many talented musicians. We hope the music will lighten the spirit and brighten your day. Enjoy! .
Take good care,
Deborah Shaffner, CEO
