Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island - Eastlink Television, the Maritime's home for local sports and entertainment, is launching a new season of programming starting October 14th. Featuring an entertaining and interesting line-up of local interest programs, the upcoming season will include Eastlink Television favourites like Welcome to My Kitchen, Doc Talk and Harv's Sportsland. This season will also see the addition of two new shows to Eastlink Television's Fall line-up: Aperture Atlantic and Au Natural. Island viewers will also see the return of local favourites, Health Matters and Point of View. "As Islanders we often have a unique perspective on a variety of topics. At Eastlink Television, we understand the importance of having shows that are local and topical," says station manager of Eastlink Television, Bruce MacLean. "We are pleased to bring community programming to our subscribers in Prince Edward Island."Health Matters: Host Marlene MacDonald discusses a variety of health related topics with featured health care experts. The weekly series is co-produced by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation and Eastlink Television and is sponsored by Murphy's Pharmacies.
Point of View: This weekly program hosted by Terry Allen gives viewers the opportunity to phone in and participate in discussions on current topics affecting the residents of Prince Edward Island. Aperture Atlantic: Charismatic host, Scott Squires will delve into the film industry, talking candidly with Atlantic Canadian filmmakers about the ins and outs of movie-making in the Maritimes.Au Natural: With advice from experts in the field, Valerie Hould-Marchand will explore everything from nutrition to natural medicine in this show which is dedicated to helping viewers learn to live a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.
