Halifax, NS – Eastlink TV has announced its 2013-2014 schedule for QMJHL Friday Night Hockey available only on the Maritime’s #1 sports channel.
QMJHL Friday Night Hockey returns to Eastlink TV Friday, Sept. 13 for the second season since the league and Eastlink TV reached a five-year, exclusive broadcast agreement.
“Eastlink TV is very proud to deliver yet another exciting season of live, local sports with QMJHL Friday Night Hockey to our sports fans across the Maritimes,” said Michael Smith, vice president of Eastlink TV.
“After watching the Mooseheads make history last season by capturing their first ever Memorial Cup, I know fans will be glued to their screens for all 23 regular season games available live on Eastlink TV’s QMJHL Friday Night Hockey. This season will also see the continuation of our pre-game Live Eye, starting a half hour before game time, as our viewers have told us they enjoy this feature of our game coverage.”
Eastlink TV will be showcasing action from the Halifax Mooseheads, the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Charlottetown Islanders throughout the 2013-2014 season.
Halifax Mooseheads owner Bobby Smith said he’s excited for his team of future stars to take the ice for the 2013-2014 season.
“We’re very pleased to have Eastlink TV covering QMJHL action on Friday nights again this season,” said Bobby Smith, majority owner and president of the Mooseheads. “They do a tremendous job with their coverage and we’re happy that we’re able to showcase our product to fans throughout Atlantic Canada.”
QMJHL Friday Night Hockey will be available in unmatched high definition quality on Eastlink TV HD channel 610.
The action begins Friday, Sept. 13 with the Halifax Mooseheads taking on the Charlottetown Islanders. QMJHL Friday Night Hockey is available only to Eastlink customers, not on Bell or Shaw Direct.
