Sudbury, Ont. – Eastlink TV announced its full 2013-2014 broadcast schedule of the local Sudbury Wolves, Cambrian Golden Shield and Laurentian Voyageurs.
The Wolves return to Eastlink TV Friday, Oct. 4, as they take on the Peterborough Petes.
“We’re very proud to deliver another exciting season of Wolves Hockey to fans in Sudbury, and this season we’re delighted to extend the broadcast to our customers in Timmins,” said Jack Nolan, Eastlink’s regional manager. “Offering exclusive, live coverage of the Wolves exemplifies our commitment to delivering local sports and an unmatched TV viewing experience.”
Team President and General Manager Blaine Smith said Wolves Hockey on Eastlink TV helps connect the team to their fans and their community.
“The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to partner with Eastlink TV for another exciting season of OHL hockey,” said Smith. “We recognize that not all local hockey fans are able to attend each and every home game and we’re delighted that Eastlink TV is able to televise a number of exciting Wolves’ games to fans who aren’t able to be there in person. We also appreciate the many volunteers and on-air personalities that help make Wolves’ Hockey broadcasts possible.”
As the company’s commitment to local sports continues to grow, Eastlink TV is pleased to increase its coverage of Wolves hockey by 20 per cent this season, including select away games, bringing the total number of televised games to 26.
Eastlink is also pleased to present exclusive, live coverage of varsity athletics from the Cambrian Golden Shield and Laurentian Voyageurs on Eastlink TV channel 10 beginning Sunday, Oct. 27. This season’s coverage will total 32 games, up from 24 last season.
