Halifax, NS - The Halifax Rainmen are very pleased to announce that this year’s title partner, Eastlink, is offering the city of Halifax 5,000 free tickets to the team’s October 27th pre-season game against the Island Storm.
“This is something Haligonians look forward to every year,” said Halifax Rainmen President & CEO, Andre Levingston. “We are excited that Eastlink is on board with us for another fantastic season of professional basketball, and we look forward to seeing 10,000 enthusiastic basketball fans in the Halifax Metro Centre on October 27th. Over 150 minor basketball teams have already received their free tickets.”
This year’s event also features a halftime performance by Halifax’s own music sensation, JRDN.
“We are pleased to be this year’s title partner for the Halifax Rainmen,” said Lee Bragg CEO of Eastlink. “It has been an exciting partnership since we signed on with this organization in 2009. This week’s pre-season game is an ideal way to get fans energized about the upcoming season by feeling the excitement of a live, sold-out Rainmen game."
Ticket vouchers are available at Eastlink retail locations throughout HRM beginning at noon on Monday, Oct. 21 until noon on Thursday, Oct. 24 or until supplies last. Vouchers can be redeemed for physical tickets at the Metro Centre Box Office during regular business hours.
Tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis until they’re gone. Visit any of Eastlink’s five retail locations (see below or visit http://www.eastlink.ca/StoreLocator.aspx) to receive your ticket voucher.
The game tips off at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 and since it’s so close to Halloween, come dressed in your scariest or most creative Halloween costume; there will be a prize pack for best dressed.
