Eastlink chooses Nova Scotia for 2nd Data Centre

Halifax, NS – Building on its successful Data Centre operations in Bermuda, Eastlink announced today that the company will operate a second location based in Sambro, NS (otherwise known as the Pennant Point Data Centre).

“We have been operating this line of business successfully in Bermuda for several years serving the Government of Bermuda and multinational finance and insurance companies,” said Lee Bragg, Eastlink CEO. “Our Canadian business customers have told us that they are looking for comparable services and this new location enables us to deliver on that.”

As business and public sector organizations generate ever-increasing quantities of mission-critical data, the protection and security of this information is, in turn, driving demand for Data Centre capacity.

“We chose Nova Scotia for this significant investment,” continued Mr. Bragg. “We’ve already invested almost $3M in Phase 1 and intend to continue to invest in the capabilities of this location, making it a world-class data centre for local clients as well as national and international customers.”
