NOVA SCOTIA - Eastlink and Basketball Nova Scotia announced a new partnership during Cape Breton University’s annual Eastlink Capers Fall Classic invitational men’s basketball tournament. The special announcement was made between games on Friday at Centre 200 in front of a lively crowd, including more than 200 minor basketball players from Basketball Cape Breton who were invited to the tournament courtesy of Eastlink.
Basketball Nova Scotia’s Ryan Dickison and Basketball Cape Breton’s Chris McPhee were on-hand to share in the announcement.
“Basketball Nova Scotia and our members are excited to work in partnership with Eastlink to build the game of basketball throughout the province,” said Dickison. “Eastlink will play a huge role in the promotion of basketball in Nova Scotia, and will provide needed materials and equipment to assist thousands of young basketball athletes.”
In additional to financial support, Eastlink is donating score clocks to BNS and will highlight BNS on Eastlink TV by televising tournaments, games and profiles throughout the season.
