Halifax, Nova Scotia - Eastlink Television is adding three new and exciting programs to its line-up in 2008 aimed at appealing to viewers with a range of interests and tastes.
On Wednesday, January 16th 'Fuelin' Around', a half hour call-in show hosted by PEI's own Dave Sigsworth, premieres at 8pm. The program allows callers to pose unique and interesting auto-related questions. Join Dave and guest auto experts, for thirty minutes of questions and answers about everything mobile. Driven by viewers, this weekly call-in show goes wherever questions lead.
January 16th also marks the launch of 'The Abused News', a weekly satirical commentary on today's non-pressing issues. The Honourable Scott Brison joins local humorist and series host Darrin Harvey in a recurring segment titled, "A Moment With Your Member". Viewers can watch the Member of Parliament for Kings-Hants share his comedic views during Eastlink Television's most risqué program ever.
Viewers who enjoy browsing through the classified ads will also enjoy 'Swap Shop', premiering on Wednesday, January 30th at 7pm. This program, hosted by Eastlink Television's Scott Squires, resembles a televised trading post, allowing viewers to buy, sell, or trade everything locally from trinkets to trucks.
"This is very exciting for our channel," says Director of Eastlink Television, Michael Smith. "The new additions to our programming line-up are very different from anything we currently air. We look forward to delivering this hip and edgy content to our audience."
