Milford, Nova Scotia - Eastlink will be investing more than $1 million to upgrade its communication network in the East Hants area. When completed, these upgrades will allow Eastlink to offer Eastlink Telephone and to expand Eastlink's digital cable offering to include new services like Video OnDemand. The network construction is expected to reach completion in Spring 2008.
"Eastlink is continually investing in technology to provide the best telecommunications and entertainment services to our customers," said Ian Lezama, Director of Marketing at Eastlink, "The expansion to the East Hants area will give residents a choice in telecommunications service providers and the opportunity to bundle the fastest internet service and best television service in a Watch, Surf and Talk bundle for one low price."
From Enfield to Stewiacke, Nine Mile River to Antrim, and places in between, construction will begin in March that will enable residents to subscribe to Eastlink Telephone service, which is only $20 per month, and have access to Eastlink's flexible long distance calling plans. Customers choosing to switch can enjoy free installation and are able to keep their existing phone number, jacks and directory listing. Customers can also bundle their cable, high speed and telephone service into Eastlink's popular Watch, Surf and Talk Bundle for one low monthly price.
In Summer 2008, Eastlink will add Eastlink OnDemand. With access to hundreds of movies and series, OnDemand offers convenient features like pause, fast forward and rewind similar to a DVD player.
