St. John's, Newfoundland - The Amazing Persona - Atlantic Division today announced its decision to change its name to Eastlink. Purchased in September 2007 by Bragg Communications, Persona provides communication and entertainment services to customers across Canada. Other divisions of Persona will continue to operate under the Persona Communications brand.
As a leading telecommunications and entertainment provider, Eastlink will now serve more than 295,000 subscribers in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
Beginning in April, Persona customers in Newfoundland and Labrador will begin receiving communication introducing the new name and new brand identity. Eastlink will introduce a new billing system as a first step in providing an expanded level of service to customers in Newfoundland and Labrador. The employees that currently handle customer service questions in St. John's will continue to do so.

"Eastlink has built a strong reputation in Atlantic Canada, providing a broad range of entertainment and communications services to business and residential customers. Eastlink is continually working to upgrade its networks in order to deliver a range of entertainment and communication products like High Definition Programming, Eastlink OnDemand, High Speed Internet, and local telephone. Eastlink co-CEO, Dan McKeen, expressed his desire to launch many of these services in Newfoundland and Labrador in the near future.

"We have immediate plans to commence network upgrades to launch Eastlink Telephone service in a number of our Newfoundland systems.
