Halifax, Nova Scotia - Atlantic University Sport and Eastlink Television are pleased to announce the 2008 football television schedule, which will once again see a 'Game of the Week' broadcast live each week for a total of ten exciting university football games this season.

In addition to the ten televised games, Eastlink Television will once again be presenting two special 30-minute pre-game programs. The first will air prior to the September 6th broadcast at 1:30pm followed by the StFX X-Men hosting the Mount Allison Mounties live at 2:00pm. Eastlink will conclude the football season coverage by kicking-off the 2008 Loney Bowl on November 8th, at 12:30pm with an on-site pre-game special reviewing the past season and looking ahead to the upcoming Loney Bowl match-up.
The 2008 broadcast schedule will feature a number of marquee games, including two interlock match-ups, the StFX homecoming game, the Loney Bowl and the first ever evening game played under the lights at Raymond Field in Wolfville as the Axemen will host Saint Mary's Huskies in a 7pm start on Saturday, September 27th.
The televised interlock games with the QSSF conference will see the Laval Rouge et Or visit Acadia in week three and the Montreal Carabins travel to Huskies Stadium in Week six. The StFX homecoming game will be a rematch of the 2007 Loney Bowl as the X-Men host the Saint Mary's Huskies.
