Clare, Nova Scotia - Eastlink announced today it is launching telephone service to residents and businesses in Clare and surrounding communities. Eastlink has invested over $800,000 to upgrade the communication network in Clare to introduce telephone service to local residents and businesses. Customers will now have access to Eastlink's state-of-the-art network, which is built from the ground up for technical reliability and crystal-clear reception.

Subscribers to Eastlink Telephone service have access to Eastlink's flexible long distance calling plans. Customers choosing to switch can enjoy free installation and are able to keep their existing phone number, jacks and directory listing. Customers can also bundle their cable, high speed and telephone service into the Eastlink Watch, Surf and Talk Bundle for one low monthly price.
Eastlink purchased the Clare cable system in August 2007 and has since launched 96 new cable channels in the area including high definition, 20 additional digital music channels, Time Zone channels, and the Super Sports Pak.
