Halifax, Nova Scotia - Eastlink has added TSN2, a new 24-hour sports channel to its digital cable line-up. The channel launched with coverage of the U.S. Open tennis tournament this past weekend.
"We want to provide our customers with the best TV experience," said Ian Lezama, Director of Marketing at Eastlink. "Eastlink sports fan customers will find TSN2 exciting and offering more sports like hockey, football and auto racing."
TSN2 is a premium service covering a total of 800+ hours of live sports coverage annually, with an average of one exclusive live event/game per day. TSN2 will also feature encore telecasts of live TSN programming which aired live earlier in the day on TSN.
"By taking the TSN alternate feed to a full-time service in TSN2, we are better positioned to serve sports fans by being able to consistently provide live coverage of two events taking place concurrently," said Phil King, President, TSN. "TSN2 is a must-have for sports fans."
TSN2 will feature exclusive live sports games and events, including the NHL, CFL, NBA, Curling, International Hockey, Golf, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series, IndyCar Series, Grand Slam Tennis, Champions League Soccer, Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and NCAA Football and Basketball.
