Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia – Eastlink announced today it is launching telephone service to residents and businesses in Port Hawkesbury. Eastlink invested over $1.5 million to upgrade the communication network in Port Hawkesbury, which included the construction of a headend facility that will serve as a network transmission point and technical office for the area.
"Customers in Port Hawkesbury wanted to have a choice in telephone service providers and we are pleased to provide them with an affordable and reliable option," Ian Lezama, Director of Marketing with Eastlink. Customers choosing to switch can enjoy free installation and are able to keep their existing phone number, jacks and directory listing.
