Eastlink and Eternal World Television Network (EWTN) are partnering to bring coverage of Pope John Paul II funeral to all Eastlink Digital Cable subscribers.
From April 8 until April 22, all Eastlink digital cable subscribers will have access to EWTN to view the Pope's funeral and the conclave of cardinals, who will select a new pope.
"The decision to work with EWTN to offer the channel at no additional charge to our customers was an easy one for us," said Dan McKeen, Co-CEO, Eastlink. "We felt a number of Maritimers would have interest and enjoy access to this network during this important time." The access also provides Eastlink Digital customers with an opportunity to sample this service, which is normally $2.25 per month.
Michael Warsaw, President of EWTN, said, "We are pleased that Eastlink Digital Cable will carry EWTN during this historic time and know viewers will be grateful for this addition to their service."
EWTN is located on channel 355 in all areas where Eastlink Digital Cable is available.
