Eastlink Completing Network Upgrades to Launch New Services in Clarenville
Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador - Eastlink Authorized Agents, Mapcomm Inc. are completing network upgrade construction throughout parts of Clarenville and surrounding communities.
The work is occurring between from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and is expected to take approximately four to six weeks. While Eastlink's goal is to minimize inconvenience to our customers, these upgrades will result in cable and Internet service interruptions lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Residents will also notice trucks in the area and crews working on ladders and poles during these hours.
The upgrade work is necessary as Eastlink enhances the quality and reliability of existing services and to prepare for the launch of future services including faster Internet and Eastlink Telephone.
Operating from its headquarters in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Eastlink is the fifth largest cable company in Canada and was the first to offer customers local telephone service over a state-of-the-art digital network. Eastlink is one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies with more than 900 employees who provide a range of communications, entertainment & advertising services to residential, business and public sector customers across the Atlantic Provinces.
