Windsor, Nova Scotia – Eastlink Television is pleased to have partnered with the Rotary Club of Windsor to broadcast the 19th Annual Windsor Rotary Auction, May 19th through 22nd. The event was a great success, raising in excess of $30,000 for various local charities.
“The Rotary Club of Windsor is delighted to once again partner with Eastlink Television in presenting its annual auction. Through their professional approach and community involvement, we, a local volunteer service organization, have been able to involve the community and achieve our fundraising goals,” commented Andy Kirk, 2009 Auction Chair. “With more than $30,000 raised, the club is well on its way to meeting the various commitments in which it is involved.”
Retailers and businesses throughout the region donated hundreds of items and services for the auction. Online bidding began on May 8th, culminating in the live broadcast on Eastlink Television.
The annual auction is the Windsor Rotary Club’s primary fundraiser, which provides financial support for a number of local initiatives, including the Windsor Daycare and Early Learning Centre.
