Halifax, Nova Scotia – Eastlink announced today that work is underway to upgrade all of its Sydney customers to Digital TV service, making Sydney Eastlink’s first community within Nova Scotia to go 100% digital.
“This upgrade is part of Eastlink’s ongoing commitment to provide our customers with the very best television experience,” said Lee Bragg, CEO Eastlink.
What does 100% Digital TV mean? On the TVs that customers have cable service today, they will enjoy the same programming in 100% Digital quality, plus additional services including the Interactive Program Guide and Digital music channels, for no additional charge.
As part of this upgrade, customers will need a Digital TV box for each TV in their home.
Eastlink Digital TV Service provides:
• Better quality picture
• 40 free music channels
• Access to Pay Per View movies and events
• An Interactive Channel Guide allowing you to set reminders and search 7 days ahead for your favorite programs
• Access to more High Definition (HD) and Specialty channels
“To make the transition to Digital TV as easy for our customers as possible, we have partnered with Mactec Communications Systems Ltd, opening two new store locations beginning today where customers can pick up their Digital boxes, at no charge, and get more information on how to use the new services,” Mr. Bragg explained.
