Eastlink Television has reached a deal with Rogers Television in New Brunswick to broadcast three additional Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) during its Friday Night Hockey schedule as part of the 2005-06 season.
The Moncton Wildcat home games will air on Eastlink Television on the following dates:
- October 28: Halifax @ Moncton
- December 2: Saint John @ Moncton
- February 17: Halifax @ Moncton
This increases the number of regular season games broadcast on Eastlink Television to 21. Rogers Television will broadcast nine of Eastlink’s games to viewers in New Brunswick.
“It’s a win for our viewers and the teams,” says Michael Smith, Director of Eastlink Television. “The more games that are broadcast, the greater awareness of the teams, the players, and the sport overall throughout the Maritimes.”
Earlier this month, Eastlink secured an agreement with the QMJHL teams to broadcast 18 Friday night games featuring Halifax Mooseheads, P.E.I. Rocket and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
