Halifax, Nova Scotia - The Canadian Cable Telecommunications Association (CCTA) presented Eastlink Television announcer, Dan Robertson, with a Galaxi Award for his achievements in the industry during the 2004 broadcast year. The award was handed out on Tuesday during a ceremony to kick-off Cable Week.
Dan, a Sports Producer with Eastlink Television, won first place in the category of On-Camera Performance. This is considered a major award and a highly contested category. Eastlink Television received a Bronze Galaxi Award in the Information Category for its work onMooseheads Retrospective, a one-hour documentary that focused on the first ten years of the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club.

The awards are handed out each year and recognize achievements in the Cable Television Industry.
