St. John's, NL – Customers on the Burin Peninsula now have the advantage of Eastlink’s full suite of advanced video, internet and phone services.
Residential and business customers in 42 communities across the Peninsula can now enjoy world class video services including OnDemand, exclusive to Eastlink, enhanced High Definition (HD) programming, an Internet speed advantage with 15 Megabits per second (Mbps) and competitive telephone service.
“Delivering telecommunications services that compare to those in urban centres can be challenging and technically complex but we’re doing it,” says Arthur Taylor, Regional Manager.
“We’re proud to continue our investment in Newfoundland as we roll out even more advanced services to communities on the Burin Peninsula. We have invested over two million dollars to upgrade our systems to a world class fibre network on the Burin Peninsula taking customers in communities like Winterland from basic cable only to a full suite of products including Digital, HD, Internet (15 Mbps), and telephone virtually overnight.”
With Eastlink’s multi-million dollar investments, the vast majority of Newfoundlanders can live in non-urban areas and still enjoy the same advanced telecommunications services available in larger urban centers.
