Oct. 17, Halifax, NS – Eastlink TV offered a sneak peek today of its fresh, new local series on Eastlink Magazine – Nova Scotia’s Best – showcasing some of the best menu items that Nova Scotia has to offer.
Eastlink TV put the call out to Nova Scotians in the spring asking for their help to find some of the best and most popular Nova Scotia food in 13 different categories.
“As a company proudly rooted in Nova Scotia, this fresh, new and local TV content is particularly exciting for us,” says Michael Smith, Vice President Eastlink TV. “Our province is known for having diverse food flavours and is quickly becoming known as a food destination.”
Smith says that Eastlink received an overwhelmingly positive response via both social media and email from passionate Nova Scotians who shared their favourites along with the story behind what made their choice one of Nova Scotia’s Best!
Hosted by Nicole Robinson, the pilot season of Nova Scotia’s Best will go to air Sunday, November 4th at 7 p.m. on Eastlink Magazine - HD Channel 610 and Channel 10 (also available OnDemand).

Nicole’s food adventures started at a young age with Peanut butter and fluff sandwiches for her school lunches. Her love of food was born that year. However, her love of the more palatable food grew over the years working in pubs, family style restaurants and a Michelin Star European Restaurant.
Many Saturdays and Sundays were spent with friends and families discovering new restaurants or the little special hole in the walls that make the most fantastic food and inspire memorable dinner conversations.
Finally, Nicole decided to merge her experience in the Food Industry and joined the Nova Scotia Community College in 2003, as a faculty member in the Tourism Management Program where once again her close relationship with the Culinary Department has allowed for some amazing tasting experiences.
