Halifax, NS - Eastlink TV announced that it will be promoting opening day at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre by televising the Truro Bearcats’ first hockey game in their new home against the Metro Shipbuilders.
The inaugural game will be televised on Eastlink TV Sunday, March 3 at 9 p.m. for Eastlink video customers across Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Eastlink TV Vice President Michael Smith says the company is honoured to be part of the event. “Eastlink TV is passionate about local sports and has been very involved with both the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) and the new Rath Eastlink Community Centre. We’re very excited to be here on opening day to welcome the Bearcats to their new home,” he says.
Truro Bearcats Owner and local businessman Stu Rath says the new centre is something that the community has been looking forward to for a while.
“This is a very special day,” he says. “A lot of hard work has finally paid off and people are very excited to see the new Rath Eastlink Community Centre in action. It’s something that’s sure to benefit local athletes, teams, coaches and the community as a whole.”
