Halifax, Nova Scotia - Eastlink, the fifth largest cable company in Canada and the first to launch local telephone service to residential and business customers, has been awarded the contract to deliver Wide Area Networking services to the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). The contract, with a potential value in excess of $1.2 million, will supply Canada's largest municipality with data and communications services for up to five years.
