Truro, Nova Scotia - There are many "Hockey Communities" in Canada, but only one bears the title of "Hockeyville." Eastlink Magazine is presenting a two-part story on Salmon River, Canada's first ever Hockeyville, and the people who live in this Maritime community.
In part one of the series, which can be seen October 30th at 7p.m., we bring you the story, sights and sounds of Salmon River as the community celebrates their newfound title. On November 6th at 7p.m., we continue the story as the NHL comes to town.
"It has been a pleasure sharing in this Hockeyville experience with the community members of Salmon River," says Eastlink Magazine Producer, Scott Squires. "For such a small community to have earned such a huge honour, is tremendous and we are fortunate that we can share the excitement and celebration with all Maritimers."
